Our part-time courses are designed to fit around existing work or voluntary commitments causing minimal disruption to your personal and professional life. A wide choice of modules allows you to tailor your learning to specific knowledge gaps and to compliment your interests.
Our courses will further your development and allow you to progress your expertise in a range of contexts and professions. On completion you will be ready for career advancement. Our experienced and well-connected staff will be able to advise you on future career opportunities.
You do not need to pay tuition fees upfront. If you are a UK or EU undergraduate student, studying for the first time, you can apply for funding from the government to cover these. Once you leave university, you will only repay the loan if you earn above a certain threshold.
There is ample parking on site at the Falmer campus.
There are cycle lanes running all the way from Brighton city centre to Falmer along Lewes Road (A270) via the Moulsecoomb campus. On campus there are plenty of covered cycle stands monitored by CCTV.
The 25 and 23 run regularly from central Brighton. The 28 and 29 express service between Brighton and Lewes stops at Falmer station. For timetables and student fares visit the Brighton and Hove Bus Company website.
The closest station is Falmer. There are up to four trains an hour from Brighton to Falmer (9 minutes), two an hour direct to Eastbourne (35 minutes) and regular services to Hastings (70 minutes). Falmer campus is three miles north of Brighton city centre and surrounded by beautiful Sussex countryside. It is home to students studying a variety of subjects, from nursing to criminology.
There is a cash machine outside Ringmer House.
Falmer Library is open between 8.45am and 8pm weekdays during term time. There are dedicated silent and group study areas, printing and copying services, and computer suites. Free Wi-Fi is available.
The Falmer Sports Centre includes a six-court sports hall, a large fitness gym and two activity studios, one of which is matted for martial arts. There are also tennis courts, five outdoor football pitches and a floodlit AstroTurf pitch.

The Students' Union is based in Ringmer House. It includes a campus shop for essentials, The Hive cafe bar, and a social space with a pool table, games consoles and table tennis.

Student support services
The Student Services office is located in the Checkland building. Our experienced staff offer advice on student finance, volunteering, and specialist support if you have a disability, learning difficulty or long-term medical condition. Find out more about our student advice and support services.

Where to eat
There are four catering outlets on the Falmer campus. They are based in Ringmer House, Westlain House, the Checkland building and Mayfield House.
