Areas of study
The computing industry needs professionals with good computing skills, experience of working in mainland Europe, and an understanding of how European business operates. This unique course offers both a UK honours degree and also an equivalent French qualification - the Diplome d'Etudes Superieurs Technologiques (DEST) d'Informatique. Students gain both computing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in French, spending five months of the final year at the IUT Universite Rene Descartes, Paris, studying in French alongside French colleagues. (Erasmus grants may be available for UK-based students during the study period in Paris.)
The first years of the course are closely allied to the BSc(Hons) Business Information Systems degree.
