Led by Dr Sandra Sacre, the Brighton musculoskeletal research centre (BMRC) investigates the pathology of a wide range of musculoskeletal diseases.
The BMRC brings together scientists across many areas, encouraging a cross disciplinary approach to addressing key scientific questions. Researchers with a clear fundamental scientific focus, work closely alongside clinical investigators.
The research team is comprised of scientists from the University of Brighton, Brighton and Sussex Medical School, clinicians from the local hospital trust, and collaborations with the wider national and international research community. Researchers at BMRC are dedicated to improving the understanding of musculoskeletal diseases to aid the development of new diagnostic tools and therapies.
The BMRC is also committed to developing the next generation of researchers, giving the opportunity to undergraduate, post graduate and early career researchers to develop their research skills within an inclusive environment.
