Community Partnerships

For our local communities and everyone who works with them.

The Community University Partnership Programme (CUPP) creates sustainable partnerships that benefit and inspire local communities and the University of Brighton.

We work with local community, voluntary, social enterprise and statutory organisations, helping develop ideas into projects, provide start-up funding and help networks and communities of practice develop.

Please email cupp@brighton.ac.uk to register for our mailing list.

About CUPP

The University of Brighton's Community University Partnership Programme (CUPP) began in 2003.

Originally a project externally funded by Atlantic Philanthropies, since 2006 CUPP has been core funded by the University of Brighton. Since then we have been creating, developing and nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships between the university and its local community and have now become central to the university’s strategy.

Through our strong student community engagement programme and a broad range of knowledge exchange projects CUPP has worked with over 150 academics, 3000 students and 500 community partners.

In It Together documents the learning journey from the inception of CUPP to a portfolio of 70 projects.
