Overview
The Research and Knowledge Exchange department supports academics to maximise the income and impact of their research, consultancy and enterprise activities. It includes Bid Support, the Knowledge Exchange Team, the IP and Contracts team, the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) Centre, Research Services, the Clean Growth UK team and the Community University Partnership Programme (CUPP).

Joanna Havers
As Associate Director, Knowledge Exchange, Joanna co-directs the department and manages the Knowledge Exchange team which develops opportunities to generate income and impact from applying academic expertise with non-HEI partners and commercialising academic expertise. She is responsible for the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) and for regional engagement.

Ingrid Pugh
As Associate Director, Research Services, Ingrid co-directs the department and manages the research pre-award team which supports the development of research bids. The team also supports researcher development including the R and KE workshop programme, the development and delivery of the Concordat Implementation Plan and internal research initiatives. Ingrid is also the university’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) Manager.

Ronit Rose
As Associate Director, Contracts and R and KE Governance, Ronit co-directs the department and manages the Contracts, IP and Governance team to ensure that research and knowledge exchange projects are managed ethically and responsibly, provide legal services on broad contractual and IP related matters, protect innovation and safeguard against financial risks and reputational damage.
