  • Student money advice talk: this talk provides an overview of student funding and finance including student loans, maintenance loans, tuition fees, scholarships and bursaries, as well as information on budgeting and jobs for students. You can also visit the student money advice desk in Grand Parade room M2.
  • Tours: tours of the accommodation and photography studios can be attended throughout the day, no booking required. Campus tours can be booked on the day and library tours are pre-bookable online.

Guests

Free guest wifi is available on campus.

You’re welcome to bring guests with you on the day. Some of our talks are very popular, so to ensure as many prospective students as possible can hear about their subject, we may ask guests not to attend the subject session. Of course, if there is space, we will do our best to fit additional guests on the day.

I've had the chance to explore and experiment with many different forms of visual language. At first I thought I'd be learning more traditional forms of illustration, however at Brighton the emphasis is on creative thinking, which has really pushed me to discover forms of image-making I'd never even considered.

Getting here and registration

Registration

There are two registration points for our City campus open day:

  • For photography, animation and games art and design at Edward St, Kemptown, Brighton, BN2 0JG.
  • For 3D design and craft, content creation, fashion courses, film, fine art courses, illustration, graphic design, and electronic music and sound, register at Grand Parade main building, 58–67 Grand Parade, Brighton, BN2 0JY.

Your open day runs 9.30am-4pm, please arrive 30 minutes before your first booked session. Registration opens at 9.30am.

Travel

We recommend taking public transport if possible, as there is no on-site parking at our City campus.

Train: the closest train station is Brighton which is a 10-minute walk from the campus. Check the Southern Railway website for the latest information.

Bus: many buses service this central route, alight at the North Road bus stop for City campus. Visit the Brighton and Hove Bus Company website for their timetable.

Bicycle: cycle lanes run from the city centre and there are cycle stands off William Street. There are cycle stands on site. Beryl BTN Bikes are available to hire.

Car: due to our city centre location, there is no parking on campus. You will need to park at one of the many multi-storey car parks in the centre of Brighton. Find the available car parks and a list of available EV charging stations.
