19 fully funded PhD studentships available for 2015

Building on an investment of £5 million over three years, the University of Brighton Doctoral College is offering 19 fully funded research studentships for 2015.

29 January 2015

Most of the studentships are worth over £60,000 and will support full-time doctoral study over three or four years. We invite applications from world-class research students, to contribute towards our mission to stimulate innovation and test conventional wisdom in the interests of a better and fairer world.

The studentships on offer are outlined below.

Arts and Humanities

  • Methods and tools for integrating and exploiting 3D and historic documentation in heterogeneous digital humanities repositories
  • Representing the graphic design profession on the world stage: Icograda 1963–2013

  • Engineering a bioartificial liver prototype using cell loaded macroporous hydrogel scaffolds
  • Experimental and numerical analysis of an oscillating slug flow

  • Mixed methods study of the academic resilience implementation: a whole systems perspective
  • Regulating exercise behaviour through interoceptive and exteroceptive feedback

  • Nanostructured scaffolds for remediation of environmental and biological tissue contaminants
