Alumni are entitled to free membership of the library renewable annually at no cost. To apply please complete the Alumni application form and email it to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
As an Alumni external member you are not able to access e-resources due to licensing restrictions. You can reserve and access the library to collect up to six books for three weeks at a time. Currently there is no access to library study space due to reduced capacity.
Alumni are eligible for membership to our gyms at the discounted Associate Member rate. This entitles graduates to visit the university's vast array of sporting facilities with no further cost for gym, class and swim access for the duration of the membership.
All facilities benefit from state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment with integrated TV screens, iPod docking capability and virtual trainer modes.
Please visit Sport Brighton for details of our sport and recreation facilities.

Reunions on campus
We’d be delighted to host you and your classmates’ reunion at the university. We can invite your chosen cohort, take you on tours of the university, show you our state-of-the-art facilities and provide refreshments or lunch in our student canteen for the authentic student experience.
The university has a rich history and you are an important part of it. Please get in touch at email@example.com if you are keen on revisiting your former academic school.
The following information applies to students graduating from taught courses. For non-taught postgraduate researchers, your access to IT (and library borrowing) services continues until the time you leave the university.
My Studies and university login
Your computer login remains fully active for eight weeks after you finish your course so that you can copy or transfer any important files and information from My Studies (previously studentcentral) and networked servers.
Action: copy files you want to keep from My Studies and university networked folders - if you've used them.
You can continue to use the following services beyond the first eight weeks:
LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com)
You have access to online training resources through LinkedIn Learning for three months after you finish your course. A great opportunity to brush up on presentation and interview techniques or learn skills your new/prospective employers are looking for.
Action: find out how our online training resources can help you plug skills gaps and get a job.
You have access to your CampusPress/Edublogs blog for one year after graduation. You can download your blog as an XML file, ready to use in any other Wordpress installation.
Action: export your blog
The Studentfolio ePortfolio system will be discontinued on 1 September 2021.
Action: save your studentfolio content (video | document)
When you finish your course we can refund any money you have left on your unicard account. There is an administrative charge of £10 for this service. You have up to one year from finishing your course to either unicard rebate or use your unicard to purchase items from university outlets.
Action: if possible use up any unspent funds at university outlets and avoid the admin charge.
Office 365 (email, OneDrive)
You have access to your Office 365 account for eighteen months after you finish your course. During this time you can ‘export’ contact information and copy documents from your OneDrive folders. You can also let people know your new email address and forward useful email messages.
Action: If necessary, create a new personal email account and tell people your new email address. 'Export' contact info from your university O365 account and download/copy documents you want to keep from your university OneDrive.
To access your email account after you leave the university (not while you are still a student at the university), just connect directly to outlook.com/uni.brighton.ac.uk.
Note that after you leave you won't be able to use MyInfo to change your password. If possible, change your password before you leave using MyInfo.
