  • NIHR/HE KSS Integrated Clinical Academic Programme for 2016-17

Health Education Kent, Surrey and Sussex (HE KSS) Integrated Clinical Academic Programme 2016-17

The University of Brighton is once again a provider for the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR)/HE KSS Integrated Clinical Academic Programme for 2016-17.

This programme is intended to prepare applicants to:

  • apply for or an NIHR award of MRes or Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship, or
  • provide an opportunity for applicants (with an MRes or Doctorate qualification) to work in a research group (as a normal member or principal investigator) that submits an application for an external research funding award.
Clinical education students
We are thrilled to be awarded this funding again. It will help us to provide research training and development opportunities for local practitioners and to develop research capacity and capability of a range of health practitioners in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, which in turn will lead to enhanced patient care.

Dr Nikki Petty, Intern Programme Leader

Successful interns will be offered a bespoke programme of learning and development, which will be dependent on their individual needs. A successful intern will be awarded funding from HE KSS to support backfill cost, tuition fees and other reasonable expenses.

This programme is available to a range of health practitioners.

For further information and an application form please contact the programme administrator:

Mrs Marilia Vasquet-Whittome on HealthEducationKSSInternships@brighton.ac.uk.

To discuss the programme, please contact the Intern Programme Leader:

Dr Nikki Petty
N.J.Petty@brighton.ac.uk.

Key dates:

Closing date for applications: Friday 26 August 2016

Interviews will take place: Tuesday 27 September 2016

Induction Day: Friday 7 October 2016
