English language entry requirements

You can meet our English language proficiency requirement by providing us with proof that you have recently passed a suitable qualification.

If you would like to study a Pre-sessional English language programme and require a student visa, the UK Home Office may require you to provide evidence that you've met the language requirement through a Secure English Language Test (SELT) with an approved test provider. For a list of the approved SELT test centres visit the Home Office website.

SELT results such as IELTS, are valid for two years from the time the test is taken. You cannot apply for a student visa using test results older than two years.
