Apprenticeships at the University of Brighton

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, the University of Brighton is hosting two online information sessions exploring how apprenticeships can support skills development, career progression and organisational growth.

With more than 50 professional organisation partnerships, Brighton was one of the first universities to offer apprenticeships. All of our programmes have been developed in partnership with employers, ensuring they are practical, relevant and aligned to real workforce needs.

Together, these sessions are designed to help employers, or those interested in taking an apprenticeship, better understand how apprenticeships work in practice, how they can address skills gaps, how they are funded, and how they fit alongside existing roles and workforce strategies.

Are you thinking about becoming an apprentice?

Tuesday 10 February 2026, 1.00–2.00pm, online (MS Teams)

This session is aimed at prospective apprentices and parents or guardians who want a clear, practical introduction to apprenticeships. It will cover what an apprenticeship is, the benefits of choosing this route, the apprenticeships available at the University of Brighton, and how to find and apply for opportunities.

Introduction to degree apprenticeships for employers

Wednesday 11 February 2026, 3.30–4.30pm, online (MS Teams)

Designed for employers, this session explores how degree apprenticeships can support workforce development and retention. It will explain the apprenticeship levy, employer commitments, and the range of apprenticeship programmes available at the University of Brighton.
