For both students, the programme also carries a personal connection, having grown up in households where Bargain Hunt was a regular fixture.
Reflecting on the experience, Albie said: “It was one of those opportunities you know you just have to say yes to. We wanted to make the most of our final year, do something completely different, and create a memory we’d talk about for years. Being able to do it with one of your closest friends made it even better.”
Callum added: “The atmosphere was incredible – fast-paced, unpredictable, and a lot of fun. There were definitely moments that challenged us, but that’s what made it memorable. You go in thinking it’s about antiques, but really it becomes about teamwork, trust, and enjoying the experience.”
Bargain Hunt producer, Sam Ryall, said: “Albie and Callum were amazing fun to film with – full of energy and fun with a passion for antiques. As soon as we saw their application, we knew we wanted them on the show.”
