Football is a popular sport, yet high levels of injury particularly of the foot and ankle are common.
We aimed to identify the prevalence of foot/ankle injuries and determine risk factors that led to these injuries. Foot and ankle injuries are common in this group of players yet simple methods of injury prevention (for instance, ankle supports) are not always effective.
This project is ongoing; findings, output and impact will be updated in due course.
