DTA Future Societies

The University Alliance's Doctoral Training Alliance (DTA) is one of the largest nationwide doctoral training initiatives in the UK. The University of Brighton is proud to be the lead partner in a new DTA programme, Future Societies.

The Future Societies programme will support solutions-driven research that tackles the world’s most pressing challenges, with projects guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the corresponding research priorities of the participating universities.

All DTA programmes deliver structured PhD training in collaboration with Alliance universities and partner institutions. The supportive and inclusive cohort environment empowers students through enhanced training. This ensures that DTA graduates are highly skilled and ready to meet the challenges of a global world. Professional, personal and academic development is at the heart of the DTA programmes.
