Application procedure for exchange students applying for the 2022–23 academic year

Nominations by partner university

Partner universities should nominate their chosen students by email to Ellie Johns at E.Johns@brighton.ac.uk by the deadlines indicated below:

  • For Full Year or Semester 1 only students: 1 April 2022
  • For Semester 2 only students: 9 September 2022

Student applications

Following receipt of nominations, we will send our Incoming Exchange Student Application Forms to students and their home universities directly by email along with full instructions.

Our deadlines for all completed applications and supporting documents to be received are as follows:

  • Deadline for students who wish to study in Brighton for the FULL YEAR (September - June): 29 April 2022
  • Deadline for students who wish to study in Brighton for the FIRST SEMESTER ONLY (September - February): 29 April 2022
  • Deadline for students who wish to study in Brighton for the SECOND SEMESTER ONLY (February - June): 14 October 2022

Accommodation

Incoming exchange students to the School of Business and Law have the opportunity to live in one of our university Halls of Residences, however this is not guaranteed as rooms are limited.

Students will need to complete and return an Accommodation Form to indicate whether they would like to stay in a room in our university halls with their main application form and allocations will then be made accordingly. This Accommodation Form will be sent to nominated students with the main application documents.

Those students coming to study with us for the full academic year who want to stay in university accommodation will likely get a room. For those students coming to study with us for Semester 1 only, there will be a limited number of rooms which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We will endeavour to house as many students as want to stay on campus, but we cannot guarantee accommodation for everyone until we know the total number of incoming students per year.

For those students coming to study with us for Semester 2 only, unfortunately we cannot guarantee a room until we know how many Semester 1 only students are staying on campus and how many rooms will be vacant for the rest of the year once they have returned home. We are hopeful that most students for Semester 2 will get a room in university halls if they want one but we cannot confirm this until later in the year.

Option Modules

Incoming students studying at School of Business and Law can take up to 30 ECTS of modules with us per semester. Our 2022-23 module offer is still being finalised but you can view the modules expected to be offered in 2022-23 for guidance in the meantime.
