Work in our facilities
Our Recreation Assistants assist the full-time staff in making sure all the departments’ services, objectives and goals are fulfilled. This includes a variety of duties such as lifeguarding poolside, front of house services, cleaning, and set up/down equipment. Successful candidates will be the face of the organisation, so we are looking for candidates that display a high level of professionalism along with excellent customer service skills.
Benefits and support
All Sport Brighton staff receive free membership of the facilities which includes use of the gym, access to classes and open swimming sessions.
Successful candidates will be supported by the operations team on an ongoing basis with training provided monthly by the team.

Performance sport opportunities
If you are interested in building CPD in the world of performance sport then Sport Brighton has a number of both paid and volunteer opportunities. Contact us if you would like to be involved in:
- Performance analysis
- Sports physiotherapy, recovery and taping
- First aid delivery
- Strength and conditioning support
- Testing

Officiating
If you have an existing sports officiating qualification then there are opportinities to get paid whilst you are studying with us. Whether you are a football referee willing to referee our Campus League programme or a basketball table official willing to assist at BUCS fixtures. We often require officials in Netball, Basketball, Hockey, Cricket, Volleyball and Football.
Students interested in becoming qualified football referees will receive subsidised training costs through Sport Brighton (in return for refereeing 6 in-kind Campus League fixtures), and £15 per fixture once qualified.
