Panthers: Clubs

Student clubs and getting active at Brighton

Our sports clubs cater for a wide range of abilities, from experienced athletes to complete beginners looking for a more casual experience. Once you decide to participate regularly, you'll need a club membership to access training, competition and club activities.

The University of Brighton enters a number of teams into the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) programmes. These include one off events or weekly league fixtures. You can see which clubs have teams and what level they play at in the table below.

Club activities are subsidised, so make sure you make the most out of your time at the university and join a club. Develop an existing interest or discover a new pastime. You can join one or more clubs assuming they don't clash.

Follow clubs on social media and you can message them directly to find out more. All clubs will also be at the Freshers Fair at the start of term.

Trials and tasters

Follow the Sport Brighton Instagram account for details of how to book on and get involved in this coming year's activities. Trials and tasters for nearly all sports are free. Make sure you sign up for the right session for you. Some sports will have multiple sessions aimed at different people, whether you want to trial for the team or simply play socially with no commitment.
