Tuition fees for academic year 2026–27

**UKRI rate is set in April each year. Research degree fees for academic year 2026 entry will be published once UKRI rates have been confirmed in spring 2026. As a guide, the UKRI rate for 2025 was £5,006.

The cost of your fees depends on your course. Details of tuition fees are listed on each course page.

The tuition fees listed above are for full-time courses during the academic year 2026-27. Further tuition fees are payable in each year of study. Non-regulated tuition fees, which usually apply to international students and UK postgraduate students* are subject to an annual increase of a maximum of 5% or the Consumer Prices Index (CPI), whichever is higher.

*Some designated postgraduate courses are regulated by the UK government – the annual fee increase for eligible UK / Home students on these designated courses will not exceed the UK government’s regulated tuition fee limit set for the relevant academic year.

What is included in the fees?

Mandatory requirements for your course are covered by the tuition fees. These include things such as health or criminal record checks, specialist materials and mandatory field trips.

Optional field trips, accommodation and course materials are not included in the tuition fees and you will need to pay for these yourself. Please contact the school that delivers your course about possible extra costs before you apply.

Fees for part-time students

The tuition fees for part-time postgraduate students enrolled on a taught degree depends on how many modules (and associated academic credits), you take in the academic year. For example, if you study 60 credits of a 180 credit course, you would pay a third of the full-time fee in that academic year. Some part-time courses have a fixed tuition fee for the academic year.

The tuition fee for part-time students enrolled on a research degree is 50% of the full-time tuition fee.

Paying your fees

Payment of the annual tuition fee becomes due once you register. You can opt to pay your annual tuition fees in full at the start of your course.

If you are a fully self-funding UK / Home student you can opt to pay your fees in six monthly instalments, using a recurring credit or debit card payment starting in October, so that you pay your fees in full by the following March. Please set this up securely online via Student View.

Fully or partially officially sponsored students should ensure that their fees are paid in full by the 1 November of the relevant academic year, or within four weeks of their course start date if this is later than 1 November.
