The University of Brighton has limited on-campus parking, with spaces available on a first come, first served basis in line with our Car Parking and Permit Application Policy.
Spaces cannot be reserved and a space is not guaranteed. Vehicles must also park within marked bays only and in designated disabled spaces with a government Blue Badge or university temporary badge. Parking is prohibited where it causes an obstruction or on double yellow lines.
Make sure to check local signage when using university car parks and follow the guidance of the university’s Car Parking and Permit Application Policy. Not having a university E-Permit or payment session could result in you receiving a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
Parking restrictions are enforced on all sites on a 24/7 basis throughout the year by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras operated by the university’s parking management contractor, UK Car Park Management (UK CPM).
Parking is available at our Falmer and Moulsecoomb campuses. See the map of the car parks at Falmer and directions to our campuses on the maps and directions webpage.

There are electric vehicle charging points (EVCPs) available for use by car park users at Moulsecoomb and Falmer, on a paid basis. Use of the charge points is in line with our standard parking restrictions. EVCPs can be found in dedicated car parking bays within university car parks and are marked with signage or floor paint. Use of EVCPs is for car park users in adherence conditions and restrictions in the university’s Car Parking and Permit Application Policy.
All EVCPs are Pod Point solo or twin chargers and are maintained by Pod Point. Use, including tariff payment, is managed via the Pod Point app which is available on all iOS and Android devices.
The tariff charged for all EVCPs is £0.27 per kWh of electricity, inclusive of VAT. Pod Point will collect the tariff payment using the Pod Point app. Payments cannot be made using cash or card.
If a fault arises when using a charge point, please contact Pod Point via the Pod Point app via phone on 020 7247 4114 or email support@pod-point.com.
EVCP users agree to charging at their own risk, that charging availability is not guaranteed and that university charge points should not be relied on for regular charging.
