University of Brighton libraries - Click and Collect Service
Starting Monday 13th July, University of Brighton libraries are offering a limited Click & Collect Service to all current staff and students to enable borrowing of print books where an electronic version is not available. You can request up to 5 items from the library catalogue by emailing a request form to the site library. You can only request books that show as available on the catalogue. You will have to collect your order from the library the books are held.
We'll continue to keep you updated on any further introduction or changes to services. In the meantime, if you have any queries please get in touch.
Although libraries are closed until further notice, library staff continue to be available to provide support and advice via Microsoft Teams or via email on the following:
- Literature searching
- Finding and evaluating information
- Finding and using images legally
- Systematic reviews
- Understanding referencing and using EndNote
The online library collection has been enhanced by increasing the selection of eBooks accessible through your subject guide. If there is a book you need or we only have a print copy, then email us to see if we can purchase an electronic version. If there is a book you need then email us to see if we can purchase an electronic version. If we already have a print copy then try our new click and collect service.
We will respond to any queries and requests for one-one support Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (not Bank Holidays).
Existing loans will be renewed and no fines charged until we reopen.
If you are returning to university please keep your books and return them to the library once university buildings reopen.
If you are leaving the university and need to return your library books before university buildings reopen, you can:
- Deliver books in person to: Watts Building, Moulsecoomb campus, Unicard access only 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday with social distancing measures in place. Please wrap and seal books, a carrier bag sealed with tape is acceptable
- Or contact your site library for advice.
Any returned books will remain on your library account until the university buildings reopen and will continue to automatically renew and no fines will accrue.
We aim to provide the same level of access to our services for all staff and students. Staff at all our service points would be happy to advise further.
