Horizons: Innovation in Adult Health and Social Care programme

From 1 September 2022 to 31 January 2023
9.30am–4.30pm

This bespoke programme will consist workshops for businesses working in the adult health and social care sectors - topics will include; Ageing population; Use of health technology; Nutrition; Dementia; Obesity and diabetes; Sustainability and Net Zero support; Mental Health and Substance misuse; Active Ageing; Social isolation and Med Tech. The programme also provides eligible small to medium-sized businesses with access to fully-funded academic expertise from the universities of Brighton or Sussex to work on an R&D project, up to the value of £5,000.

Horizons: Innovation in Manufacturing and Supply Chains

From 1 September 2022 to 31 January 2023
9.30am–4.30pm

In partnership with the Manufacturing Engineering and Technology Alliance (Metall), this programme will include a series of workshops covering topical issues faced by the manufacturing and supply chain sector. The programme also provides eligible small to medium-sized businesses with access to fully-funded academic expertise from the universities of Brighton or Sussex, up to the value of £5,000, to work on an R&D project for their business.

LoCASE Grant Clinic

Pioneers is an intensive 2-day programme that supports and enables business owners and leaders in the Coast to Capital region to create positive impact with industry partners. 12 hours of support over 2 days at the state-of-the-art innovation hub, Plus X Brighton. Fully funded programme - no membership or fee required.

Remanufacturing a solution for business resilience to supply chain disruption?

In this free to register event, industrial and academic speakers will talk about future challenges faced by manufacturing industries and the latest innovations in remanufacturing. Of particular interest to delegates from industry will be the ‘real-life’ examples of how remanufacturing has already helped the speakers’ own companies to expand and improve their own businesses, and increase supply chain resilience as well as mitigating risks associated with global events such as pandemics or economic turbulence.

Get hands-on - design, create and test prototypes in advanced workshops at Plus X Brighton. One morning a week for 7 weeks throughout October/November 2022.
