A new and exciting pathway that combines a teaching degree with on the job training, our Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship is an opportunity for schools and academies that pay the Apprenticeship Levy to train and shape new teaching staff, with expert support from the University of Brighton.
Designed by experienced educators and researchers, the Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship blends workplace learning with part-time university study.
This apprenticeship is delivered over one year through a mix of web-based, face-to-face and independent learning.
Brighton is one of the UK's largest providers of education and teacher training with a long-established reputation for high quality courses. Our work in initial teacher education has been rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted.
Our model of higher education is based on a spirit of enquiry and the active generation of knowledge in relation to learning, teaching and research. From day one, apprentices will use their new knowledge and understanding in their own school workplace as they develop their skills on the job to become great educators.
