Entry requirements

Undergraduate

We require students taking the شهادة ب كال وري ا ال ت ع ل يم ال ثان وي (Baccalauréat de l'Enseignement Secondaire) or شهادة ال ب كال وري ا ل ل ت ع ل يم ال ت ق ني (Baccalauréat Technique / Commercial) to successfully complete an international foundation year or equivalent.

Postgraduate

We require a الإج ازة (Licence), دب لوم (Diplôme de [plus subject area]), دب لوم ف ي ال درا سات ال ع ل يا (Diplôme d'Études Supérieures), or a دب لوم مه ندس دول ة (Diplôme d'Ingénieur / Diplôme d'Architecte d'État).

English language requirements

We will not accept an Algerian English language qualification as meeting our minimum English language proficiency requirements. Find out more about our English language requirements.

Degree preparation courses at the International College

If you complete your pathway course at the International College at the required level, you are guaranteed entry to a degree at the University of Brighton. Available degree subject areas include accounting and finance, art and design, business management, law with business, and many more.

Home from home

If you're looking for a little taste of home when you're in Brighton, you can check out The Blue Man pub and restaurant for some authentic Algerian cuisine, or you can head to La Baobab Cuisine for some delicious seafood off the grill, and for something a little more laid back you can check out Abyssinia African cafe and restaurant just off London Road. 

There are also a number of societies you can get involved with where you can find like-minded people with similar interests which gives you the opportunity to be involved in society events to help you ease into student life and get familiar with the city. If you can't find a society that suits your interests then you can start your own society!
