Entry requirements

Details of the academic and English language requirements for your course are on our course finder. We help many students from Indonesia to improve their qualifications to meet entry requirements.

Undergraduate

We require students taking the Ijazah - Sekolah Menengah Atas/Madrasah Aliyah (SMA – MA) also known as Surat Tanda Tamat Belajar Sekolah Menengah Umum Tingkat Atas (STTB - SMA) (Certificate of Completion of Academic Secondary School) to take and successfully complete an international foundation year or equivalent.

Postgraduate

We require a Sarjana (S1) course accredited with A (bachelor honours degree standard) or a Sarjana II (S2)/Magister (master’s degree standard).

English language requirements

We will not accept an Indonesian English language qualification as meeting our minimum English language proficiency requirements. Find out more about our English language requirements.

Degree preparation courses at the International College

If you complete your pathway course at the International College at the required level, you are guaranteed entry to a degree at the University of Brighton. Available degree subject areas include accounting and finance, art and design, business management, law with business, and many more.

Home from home

If you're looking for a little taste of home when you're in Brighton, you can check out Bali Brasserie in Hove for some authentic Indonesian cuisine, or you can head to Longrain in Kemptown for some Indonesian/Thai fusion dishes, or you can jump on a quick train to London and check out Bali Bali in Covent Garden for a great night out with family or friends.

There are also a number of societies you can get involved with where you can find like-minded people with similar interests which gives you the opportunity to be involved in society events to help you ease into student life and get familiar with the city. If you can't find a society that suits your interests then you can start your own society!
