There are currently 25 students and 3 alumni of the university who are from Iraq. Students from Iran choose the University of Brighton because of our strong standing in key subject areas of interest.

We require students taking the Certificate of Preparatory Education / Sixth Form Baccalauréat to successfully complete an international foundation year or equivalent in advance of undergraduate admission.
If, you have studied for one or two years at a recognised higher education institution in Iraq you may be considered for year one entry.
We require a master’s degree from a recognised higher education institution, or a bachelor’s degree from a prestigious recognised higher education institution.

Immigration and visas
Generally, prior entry clearance (ie a visa) is required for students coming from Iraq. To obtain a visa you will need to have an unconditional offer of a place at the University of Brighton and your CAS number from the university. You will need to prove that you have the funds to pay your tuition fees and living expenses.
