How to apply
International students apply to the university in the same way as UK students, but there are different application procedures for different types of courses:
- undergraduate study
- postgraduate study
- research study
- university preparation courses and pre-masters programmes
- English language programmes.

Entry requirements
Details of the academic and English language requirements for your course are on our course finder. We help many students from Thailand to improve their qualifications to meet entry requirements.
Academic equivalencies
Undergraduate
We require a Maw 6 (M6) with a score of 50% or above plus an acceptable international foundation year or equivalent.
Applicants with the Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree and Certificate of Higher Vocational Education/Diploma of Vocational Education can be considered on a case by case basis.
Postgraduate
We require applicants to hold a Thai bachelors degree with a GPA of 2.4 (out of 4.0) from a recognised Thai university.

Degree preparation courses at the International College
If you complete your pathway course at the International College at the required level, you are guaranteed entry to a degree at the University of Brighton. Available degree subject areas include accounting and finance, art and design, business management, international hospitality management, law with business, international event management, and many more.

Immigration
Generally, prior entry clearance (ie a visa) is required for students coming from Thailand. To obtain a visa you will need to have an unconditional offer of a place at the University of Brighton and your CAS number from the university. You will need to prove that you have the funds to pay your tuition fees and living expenses.
