This project continues to evaluate the theoretical construct of ‘flow’ and the current measurements of 'flow', re-defining its core characteristics and evaluating the current measurements of Flow. Flow seems to occur when people are focused and become absorbed in some demanding activities and is considered to be an important component of wellbeing, which is important for society internationally.
This research brings together an international team to better understand indicators of wellbeing, in this case, indicators or Flow. We need to evaluate current flow measures, because their validity might not be strong - one reason is that there is inconsistency in how flow is conceptualized and measured/indicated. This has lead to the formation of the EFRN, which seeks to address these issues via collaboration that will establish a shared conceptualization of flow and develop guidelines for researchers/governments regarding the utility of different flow measures/indicators.
