International scholarships

About these scholarships

For new full-time international students starting a postgraduate taught degree course in January or February 2021 we have international scholarships available. Only those students holding an offer to start their course in January or February 2021 will be eligible to apply.

Scholarships will be awarded at both £2,500 and £1,000 levels and those applications we assess as best meeting the criteria will be awarded the higher amount. These scholarships are awarded as a reduction in tuition fees for the first year of study only.

Criteria

We are committed to ensuring that studying your degree at Brighton will help you to pursue a successful future career. International scholarships will be awarded based on your answers to the following question:

  • In what way do you expect your Brighton degree course to support your future career plans?

We will look particularly favourably at those applicants who make clear how studying at Brighton will support their future career plans and aspirations. Selections will be made by a panel of university staff.

Submit your application through the form in the ‘Making an application’ tab, please complete all fields.

Who is eligible

To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must be a new, full-time, international fee-status student who holds an offer for a postgraduate degree with a minimum course duration of one year.

You must have applied for the course of your choice at the University of Brighton, and have been offered a place on that course for January or February 2021 entry.

Students studying graduate diplomas, pre-masters programmes, or equivalent, at University of Brighton partner colleges or those on PG Cert and PG Dip courses are not eligible for these scholarships.

These scholarships are not open to students who are fully sponsored.

Existing international students are also not eligible unless starting a new postgraduate programme.

How to apply

Deadline for applications: 13 December 2020.

Decisions about scholarship awards will be made by an awards committee and the International Office and communicated to applicants via email by 17:00 BST 14 December 2020. Please note that the university’s decision is final.
