Gain a professional advantage by learning Building Information Modelling (BIM). BIM is widely used in the UK construction industry to manage and deliver building and construction projects from concept to completion.

  • Take the opportunity to get the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
  • Gain work experience on a placement.

Our students have been on placement in organisations including: Mackley, Laing O’Rourke, Balfour Beatty, Mott MacDonald, and Southern Water.

  • Learn with staff who are active in industry, consultancy and research.
  • Work with students in interdisciplinary project teams on industry-based scenarios, ranging from design briefs to real-world case studies.
  • Take part in the group project linked to the Engineering for People Design Challenge – an Engineering Without Borders initiative that challenges students to work on global issues putting people at the centre of engineering design.

Our courses are accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) formed by Institution of Structural Engineers, Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation, Institute of Highway Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers.

These programmes are accredited as:

  • BEng - partially satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng)
  • MEng - fully satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
