• What can you do at an open day?

  At an open day, you can attend subject talks with lecturers, tour your accommodation, meet university staff, experience things hands-on and have honest conversations with students who are already here. Get a taste of what it’s really like to be a student here. You can’t beat seeing everything in person. 

• Can I see the accommodation at an open day?

  Yes, and this is worth making time for!

  Accommodation tours run throughout the day. You get to see what your room, bathroom, and communal spaces could look like before you make any decisions. Most people say it's one of their favourite parts of the day. A student will give you the tour so you can ask them questions about what it’s like living here.

• Is there parking at Brighton's open days?

  Parking is available on our Falmer and Moulsecoomb campus, but not on our City campus. Brighton is a very accessible city with buses and trains running regularly.

  Check your booking confirmation for the specific car parks for your open day, as it varies.

• Is there food on campus?

  Yes, you don't need to plan around meals. There are places to eat and grab coffee on campus throughout the day. Open days are busy, so build in a break. You'll have covered a lot of ground by lunchtime.

  Although whilst in Brighton, it’s worth exploring the local food spots too, if you have time after your tours and talks, head into town and experience Brighton’s popular foodie culture. There’s so much to choose from!

  Bring your reusable cup for coffee! It's cheaper and more sustainable.

• When should I go to open days? Year 12 or Year 13?

  Both, if you can.

  Year 12 to explore your options before you apply, and Year 13 to revisit your top choices before you commit. Open day places fill up fast so earlier is always better but it’s great to visit any time to see the university in person and way up your options with good time.

• How long should I spend at an open day?

  As long as you can - the longer you stay and the more you get involved in, the better you’ll get a feel for the university and make the right decision for you.

  If you plan to attend all of the activities available, then it’s worth staying for the full day from 9:30 until 4.
