School of Media

Our School of Media encompasses a broad spectrum of media and communication subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level, ranging from photography and film studies to television production and sound arts.

In a city with a wealth of creative and digital enterprise, the School has built strong relationships with media and arts organisations, generating many opportunities for students. Courses are led by staff with contemporary industry experience who are informed by applied research, ensuring the courses are relevant and able to equip students with the skills valued by employers.

Our research at Brighton engages with some of the most exciting and pressing issues of our time, covering sound and spatial practice; screen, image and visual culture; and digital culture and practice.

Our courses are taught on the City and Moulsecoomb campuses.
