If you would like to register your interest in halls, please submit a response to the form below

You must only submit the form once,so please review your answers before submitting. Duplicate submissions will be deleted.

We strongly encourage you to explore accommodation options in the private rented sector, as we cannot guarantee a room offer in halls. You will automatically be sent advice on finding private accommodation to the email that you input below.

  • Have received an academic offer from University of Brighton

  • Name
  • Do you have a disability that you would like to disclose, that is relevant to your accommodation request?
What is a relevant disability or medical condition? We assess priority based on the Equality Act 2010's definition of disability (substantial and long-term impact on daily activities). We may prioritise your application on health or disability grounds if evidence is submitted that demonstrates a room in halls is essential for successful study. Evidence should be relevant medical documentation which confirms the substantial and long-term nature of your disability or heath issue.
  • Please send supporting medical evidence to accommodation@brighton.ac.uk. Note that submission does not guarantee a room.
  • Are you estranged or a care leaver?
“Care leaver” refers to any adult who has spent time in care. Care leaver status is verified by our Widening Participation team. “Estranged” refers to someone who has little or no contact with their parents or guardians and this is unlikely to change. Estranged status is determined by Student Finance, and verified by our Student Money Advice team. See full details in the allocation policy liked below.
  • Will you be under 18 after 1 September?
  • Are you a refugee or asylum seeker?
  • Are any criminal proceedings pending against you?
Why do we need to know this? To help the University reduce the risk of harm to other students, we must know about any pending criminal proceedings and/or relevant unspent criminal convictions. If you declare pending proceedings, your application will not be automatically excluded. All information concerning offences will be treated in confidence in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations and will be considered on a case by case basis. Failure to declare pending proceedings may result in your exclusion from university accommodation.
