DSA Contribution Refund

We are currently only accepting online applications.

Please send your completed application and supporting evidence to DSAcosts@brighton.ac.uk.

If you have a general question about student finance or a financial concern, please contact the Student Advice team by email studentadvice@brighton.ac.uk or telephone 01273 642888.

About this fund

The DSA Contribution refund is a university fund available to all English domiciled students who have applied for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) and have to pay £200 to access their recommended specialist equipment.

It is a non-repayable payment of £200, which is a refund and is awarded to students who have a household income of below £25,000. In most cases household income will be established by Student Finance England. Postgraduate students will be assessed by the university and therefore evidence will be required.

Who is eligible

The fund is open to English domicile undergraduate and postgraduate students, fully enrolled at the university on a full-time or part-time basis, who have applied for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) and are required to pay £200 to access their recommended specialist equipment.

How to apply

You can download an application pack (Microsoft Word).

Braille or audio versions are also available (please allow two weeks from request).

You can only apply for the fund once, and you must be fully enrolled at the university before applying. Applications must be received by 1 July 2022.
