We require an STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia / Malaysia Higher School Certificate) OR a Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) (Senior Middle Level) OR an SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia / Malaysia Certificate of Education) with grades of 1-6 plus an international foundation year or equivalent.

We require applicants to hold either a bachelors degree (with a high GPA) or a masters degree from a prestigious Malaysian institution.

English language equivalency
An applicant can be considered to have met our English language entry requirements if he or she has consistently studied in the English language and obtained a 1-6 in Advanced English Language or the 1119 OR a grade A1-C8 on the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) or a grade 1A/2A on the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).

Immigration and visas
Generally, prior entry clearance (ie a visa) is required for students coming from Malaysia. To obtain a visa you will need to have an unconditional offer of a place at the University of Brighton and your CAS number from the university. You will need to prove that you have the funds to pay your tuition fees and living expenses.
