As someone who gets very anxious around assessments and deadlines, I was surprised at how relieved I felt at university as I was finally in charge of my own work. I could access as many resources as I needed (such as research in the library or direct conversations with my lecturers or tutor), making my work much easier to handle.

I had three appointments with the careers service this year. The adviser gave me feedback on my CV that helped me secure a part-time job. I also joined a university mentoring programme. I had the chance to speak to someone who had an amazing work background and a lot of experience in the area I am interested in. I learned things I could not have known on my own.

A financial boost

Our Brighton Boost is a package of funding and support to help get you off to the best possible start.

Living in halls was definitely one of the best choices I made at uni. I was able to meet people from other courses and backgrounds and get used to living alone away from home. There are residential advisers who provide support and help with any worries or concerns.

Your space - our campuses

We have three campuses across Brighton, all within easy reach of the city centre, the beach, and some beautiful countryside.

Two students walking between buildings

Moulsecoomb is our biggest campus and student village, just two miles north of Brighton city centre. Over 900 students live in our halls on campus.

Grand Parade building with flowers

Our City campus is in Brighton city centre and has specialist facilities, studio space and our world-class Design Archives which all make for an inspiring environment where creativity thrives.

Students outside the Checkland Building at Falmer

Set in the South Downs, our Falmer campus is around four miles from Brighton city centre. Brighton & Hove Albion FC's Amex stadium and the beautiful Stanmer Park are right next door.

Brighton has … all the important parts of a sprawling cosmopolitan metropolis (connections to London in under an hour, an array of properly excellent restaurants, energetic late-night spots) … with the easy-breezy beachy attitude to life that makes you feel welcome in an instant.
