University-managed halls

When will I hear about my accommodation?

If you booked your university accommodation, then you will hear from us after your course application status becomes an unconditional firm. You will receive one offer of university accommodation by email and have up to three working days to decide on accepting.

How do I accept?

In order to secure your accommodation you will need to make an advance payment of 14 days rent within three working days – your formal offer via email will include specific details.

Once confirmed we will be in touch about moving in dates and times.

You can contact the accommodation team if you have any questions or concerns about making an advance payment, or if you have changed your mind about university accommodation.

Three students with accommodation in the background

I joined a Facebook group for the halls I would be staying in. Through this I found three people that I am living with and this meant when we did move in, it was a lot less awkward and it was like we were already friends.

Support and advice

We can offer you support with finding the right accommodation and people to live with in the private rented sector. There is currently a good supply of private rented accommodation available and many students prefer this option as they can choose where and who to live with.

We offer lots of support and advice:

  • contact us about house hunting and get advice from our experienced team
  • Join our Facebook groups for Brighton and Eastbourne students – to meet other students looking for accommodation

Get in touch as soon as you have your place at the University of Brighton confirmed, and we can help you get your search for accommodation started.

Facebook groups

Join our housemate groups on Facebook where you'll meet new and current students looking for and offering rooms in rented houses and get useful support and advice from our accommodation team.

We also run a dedicated Facebook group providing support and advice to students looking for accommodation during the summer months. Contact the accommodation team if you’d like to join this group.
