We offer BEng, MEng and foundation year routes for our undergraduate courses.

Our foundation years are a great way to prepare for your degree if you don't have the grades or specific subjects needed or if you've just changed your mind about which subject to follow.

The MEng courses include an additional year of masters-level study.

Professional accreditation

Our courses are accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) formed by Institution of Structural Engineers, Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, Institute of Highway Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers.

These programmes are accredited as:

  • fully satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
  • BEng - partially satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng)
  • MEng - fully satisfying the educational base for a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Sustainability

Explore sustainable design approaches through practical work. This could be working in a team on real-world problems in developing countries as part of the Engineering for People Design Challenge, or site visits to locations like Clays Lake flood prevention scheme.

Work with students in interdisciplinary project teams on industry-based scenarios, using facilities that include a hydraulics lab with flume, concrete lab, soils lab, geotechnical centrifuge, and dynamics lab.
