Undergraduate degrees

Our full-time education degree course includes placement opportunities so you'll gain hands-on professional experience.  

  • Early Childhood Studies BA(Hons)

Professional Practice in Education is aimed at professional practitioners working in formal and informal education, learning and development settings who want to develop their academic and research skills. This course is part-time, allowing you to study for a degree while you are working.

  • Professional Practice in Education BA(Hons)

Postgraduate study

The University of Brighton has a strong history in doctoral degrees in education including professional doctorates and PhD.

Our full-time undergraduate course offers a wide variety of placement opportunities which help you to develop key skills and put your learning into practice. Placements enable you to explore different career paths and help you decide what you might want to do when you graduate.

Past students have spent placements in diverse settings including a refugee camp, a maternity ward and a children's community centre.

Take a tour of our facilities

The specialist Curriculum Centre on our Falmer campus houses more than 30,000 resources, spanning all the subjects in the national curriculum. The collection includes games, pictures, charts, education packs and an extensive collection of children’s books.

The Falmer library also houses an extensive array of literature and resources related to education studies.
