Guaranteed accommodation
We will guarantee a place in university-managed accommodation for your first year of study, including Christmas and Easter, providing that you firmly accept your offer of a place and apply by the accommodation deadline.
This can be extended to future years and the summer holiday, however we cannot always promise this will be in the same halls you are offered in your first year.
If you would prefer to live in private sector accommodation, we can also help you with this.
If you do accept halls, you will get a warm welcome from our Student Residential Advisers.

Help with funding
Once Student Finance decides you are estranged from your family and you are a UK national, you are automatically treated as an independent student.
This means that you won’t have to provide them with any financial information from your parents in order to be assessed for the standard student finance package.
If you have any questions about this or you are having any difficulties accessing the right funding, please don’t hesitate to contact us for help.
You may be eligible for our Estranged Student's Bursary which is £1,000 per year. This is not a loan so you don’t have to pay this back.
We also have additional fundsto help students who may be experiencing financial difficulties, which you can apply for after your course has started.
Our Student Advisers can help you with all your budgeting and money management worries, and there's also useful advice on our Money Matters blog.
