Pharmacy degrees

Pharmacists play a vital role in our healthcare system and have been an integral part of the COVID-19 response. Our accredited pharmacy degrees explore chemistry medicines and ethics, and build your experience in delivering safe and effective patient-centred care.

Realistic learning environments, placements in professional healthcare settings, inter-professional learning opportunities through our close links with the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) and help available in your pre-reg year after you graduate from our MPharm are all part of the support we offer in your journey to becoming a qualified pharmacist.

Our pharmacy degrees

Undergraduate degrees

Integrating an understanding of chemistry, pharmaceutics, microbiology, physiology, pharmacology and health psychology with the practice of pharmacy in providing the best care for patients, our pharmacy programmes are taught through a series of cases studies that bring together the science of pharmacy with the needs of the patient.

  • Precision Medicine Cancer Omics MSc

Professional accreditation

Our Pharmacy MPharm is accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the UK's independent regulator for pharmacy. Accreditation from the GPhC means that graduates are eligible to progress to the pre-registration programme.

After you graduate from a GPhC-accredited MPharm course you complete a year of pre-registration training. This is paid work in a community or hospital pharmacy where you’ll build a portfolio of evidence and demonstrate your competence while being observed at work. Your progress is guided and verified by a tutor.
