Psychology

Psychology develops our insight into human minds, behaviours, experiences and relationships, on an individual and group level. It is a fascinating means through which to critically evaluate and change the world we live in.

At Brighton our accredited degree programmes take an applied approach. You will have opportunities to explore other areas of social science and to spend time on a voluntary work placement in the local community. We place a strong emphasis upon developing the range of skills required to understand and evaluate psychological theory and research. You will graduate able to critically evaluate complex information, problem solve and reason scientifically.

Did I enjoy this course? Definitely! Brighton itself is such an exciting location, and I think all the people – including the lecturers – really made a difference to how much I enjoyed my experience here. The exchange to Sweden during my second year was one of the best things I have ever done. I’ve made friends for life and now know people who live all over the globe because of it.
