Course structure

Our Global MBA has been designed to provide a flexible and practical route to developing advanced business and leadership skills.

You'll study a series of 30-credit modules building knowledge and skills across key areas of management before applying your learning to a live consultancy project.

Rather than completing a traditional dissertation, you'll work on a real business challenge for an organisation. 

This allows you to develop practical, evidence-based solutions under real-world conditions, rather than working through a theoretical exercise.

It's a chance to test your thinking, work to genuine deadlines and graduate with a real example of the value you can bring to an organisation.

Study options

You can choose to study full-time over 1 year or part-time over 2 years, allowing you to fit your studies around work, caring responsibilities or other commitments.

The course is available with September and February start dates, giving you flexibility to begin your studies at a time that suits your personal and professional commitments.

We also offer an industry placement or research year which is a great way to gain valuable professional or academic experience and provides an opportunity for international students to study in the UK for two years instead of one. We offer a two-year international study visa route to support applications for this course.

Work or research placement

In today’s job market, a masters degree alone isn’t always enough, employers want to see that you can apply what you’ve learned. That’s why we’ve built real-world experience into the heart of this programme. Full-time students can choose to take a placement or research year. This means that your course will take two years, but you will graduate with real experience of your subject in action.

• Work or research experience option during your studies – put academic thinking into practice as you learn.
• Optional work placement or research year – extend your masters to two years and graduate with genuine professional experience or advanced research skills on your CV.
• Two-year international study visa route available to support international students in securing a placement.

The research year is an opportunity to undertake in-depth independent research on campus in a subject aligned with the expertise of the course team. You will gain advanced research skills to prepare you for further study or research-led professional roles.

A truly global course

Our Global MBA reflects how connected today’s business world really is. You’ll look at international business contexts and perspectives throughout your studies, building the understanding you need to work across different countries and cultures.

International teaching team

You’ll be taught by an international teaching team with a mix of academic and industry experience, bringing a range of global insights into your learning. Their teaching is grounded in real-world case studies from across industries and regions, so you're learning from current practice, not just theory.

Building your international network

You’ll study alongside a diverse group of students, giving you the chance to share ideas, see things from different perspectives and learn from a wide range of professional and cultural backgrounds.

Flexible study

Our Global MBA is designed to fit around your life, whether you’re studying full-time or part-time.

You’ll learn through a mix of lectures, seminars and group discussions, giving you the chance to explore key ideas in more depth and learn from both your tutors and your peers.

We want you to get the most out of the in-person learning experience, but we also know that life doesn’t always make that possible. Alongside your timetabled sessions, you’ll have access to online learning materials, including recorded lectures and supporting resources.

This means if you can’t attend a session, or simply want to go back over something again, you can catch up at your own pace.

Course fees

Scholarships, bursaries and loans

We offer a range of scholarships for postgraduate students. Bursaries and loans may also be available to you.

The fees listed here are for the first year of full-time study if you start your course in the academic year 2026–27.

You will pay fees for each year of your course. Some fees may increase each year.

UK undergraduate and some postgraduate fees are regulated by the UK government and increases will not be more than the maximum amount allowed. Course fees that are not regulated may increase each year by up to 5% or the Consumer Price Index (RPI), whichever is higher.

If you are studying part-time your fee will usually be calculated based on the number of modules that you take.
