Art and design

There is no house style at Brighton – from the outset, you will explore your chosen field and develop your own creative practice.

We offer individual courses in fine art critical practice, painting, 3D design and craft, printmaking and sculpture. You will be part of a creative community of artists and designers based in central Brighton with a year round calendar of creative and cultural events to enjoy and participate in.

Art and design at Brighton is in the top 13 in the UK and in the top 100 globally by the QS World University Rankings 2020.

We are also top 20 in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2021.
