As a trainee teacher you'll get the best preparation possible before you qualify and lots of opportunities to put your teaching into practice, with school-based training at any of our 600 partner schools across the south-east. You will receive support and guidance from our experienced team to ensure you gain classroom confidence.

You'll have access to specialist teaching resources on campus, including multimedia suites, dedicated studios, laboratories and a specialist curriculum centre that houses more than 30,000 resources for trainee teachers.

Students studying physical education will be based at our Eastbourne campus, which also has excellent sport and fitness facilities.

You'll receive ongoing help and advice after you qualify through our two-year support programme for NQT practitioners. Employment rates for Brighton teaching graduates are consistently above average, so you can be confident that you'll be graduating with excellent employment prospects.

The primary English and mathematics specialists routes are for those with a passion for the subject. You will acquire advanced subject knowledge through additional module study and also develop subject leadership skills.

Our physical education route offers a range of qualifications and extracurricular activities to help in your development as a physical education teacher.
